BCMC Healing Haven: Swing Bed & Transitional Care Services

Your Bridge to Recovery at Bradley County Medical Center

At Bradley County Medical Center (BCMC), we understand that healing doesn’t always end when a hospital stay does. That’s why we offer Swing Bed & Transitional Care Services at our newly named BCMC Healing Haven, a dedicated wing within our Medical-Surgical Unit designed to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence before returning home.

If you or a loved one needs short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, or transitional support, our team is here to provide expert medical and therapeutic care in a comfortable, supportive environment.

What Is Swing Bed & Transitional Care?

The Swing Bed Program is a Medicare-approved service that allows patients to continue receiving skilled nursing care and rehabilitation in a hospital setting after an acute stay. This program is ideal for individuals who are not quite ready to go home and need additional therapy, nursing care, or medical monitoring before transitioning back to everyday life.

BCMC Healing Haven serves patients from Warren and all of Southeast Arkansas, offering a home-like setting with access to 24/7 nursing care, therapy services, and advanced medical support.

Who Benefits from Swing Bed Services?

You may qualify for our Swing Bed & Transitional Care Program if you:
Recently had surgery, illness, or injury and need extra time to regain strength.
• Require physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy before safely returning home.
• Need wound care, IV therapy, or skilled nursing that cannot be managed at home.
• Are recovering from stroke, joint replacement, fractures, heart failure, or other complex conditions.

BCMC Partners with In-House Medical for Emergency Department Physicians

Bradley County Medical Center is excited to announce the hospital has partnered with In-House Medical to transition the staffing of Emergency Department physicians from an outsourced contract management group to more local control from BCMC.

The doctors in the BCMC Emergency Department will now be official hospital staff as opposed to a contracted company that would send a rotation of physicians to our hospital. In-House Medical will assist Bradley County Medical Center with recruitment, scheduling, and other managerial aspects by integrating their services into the fabric of BCMC instead of the other way around.
